On the 7th of November, ABC canceled our beloved television show “Selfie”. Selfie is a hilarious comedy starring Karen Gillan and John Cho.
An article on Entertainment Weekly states: “The network has ruled out buying any more episodes of the freshman comedy series beyond its initial order of 13. It’s unclear for the moment how many of the remaining episodes will air. ABC says the comedy will be on next Tuesday, but the show’s fate beyond that is uncertain. The network just announced holiday specials would be photo-bombing Selfie‘s slot throughout most of December.
Last month ABC axed Selfie‘s even lower-rated time-slot companion Manhattan Love Story, yet kept Selfie around for a little while longer to see how it would perform on its own. ABC tried airing back-to-back episodes this week, but the sitcom edged lower still in the numbers”
While the show is still on the air, please help get the word out about Selfie. Tell your friends, family, and coworkers to watch it and tweet to @ABCNetwork using the hashtag #SaveSelfie. You can also contact ABC using this link: http://abc.go.com/feedback and select “ABC Programming Feedback.”
November 20, 2014: The remaining episodes WILL be released on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and ABC.com.
December 1, 2014:
While Hulu is airing the remaining episodes, the fight to save Selfie isn’t over. We’re hoping that Hulu will pick up the series for a second season. If you would like to help, you can contact Hulu by using the links at the bottom of this page http://www.hulu.com/help and put in a request for a second season.
