WATCH: Zach Edey dominant performance in win over Duke has him as frontrunner for NCAA Player-of-the-Year

Purdue’s Zach Edey had the kind of game that makes the nation notice.  Edey had a big game against Duke to skyrocket Purdue from 24th ranked team to 5th.   Zach is now the front-runner for college basketball player of the year.

Edey is averaging 23.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.0 blocks on the season.  All huge improvements from respectable numbers in 2021.

The Boilermakers big man, already averaging a healthy double-double, racked up 31 points and 22 rebounds in an 89-70 victory over Minnesota in the Big Ten opener for both teams. He finished with 1 more rebound that the Golden Gophers.

That performances includes an emphatic dunk over the overmatched Minnesota defense.
