Wei-Yin Chen bounced back nicely from his worst outing of the season, allowing just one run on nine hits in a victory over the Red Sox on Tuesday. Chen walked one and punched out four on the evening. Carl Crawford’s RBI single in the fourth inning accounted for all of the damage against him.
He’s in the midst of a very solid rookie season, compiling a 11-7 record, 3.70 ERA and 118/46 K/BB ratio over 146 innings. He’ll look to keep the ball rolling when he takes on the Tigers in Detroit on Sunday.
