Johnny Juzang: The 6’7″ Asian-American Guard Projected to be an NBA First Round Draft Pick
|Johnny Juzang is the first ever Asian-American prospect to be projected as a future NBA first round pick. Jeremy Lin has been great in the NBA, but even he didn’t get a single scholarship offer. Juzang has already received scholarship offers from the big-time basketball programs. So far, Juzang has received offers from Cal, UCLA, Alabama, Washington, UNLV, USC, Arizona State, Tulane, Miami, Cal State Northridge, Oregon and the offers continues to pour in. And get this, Juzang only just completed his high school freshman year.
Juzang is ranked on the ESPN top basketball players in the nation from the class of 2020. He is ranked 19th here, http://www.coast2coastpreps.com/news_article/show/695564?referrer_id=1927375. He is already listed on NBAdraft.net (http://www.nbadraft.net/players/johnny-juzang).
Johnny Juzang is half Vietnamese. His mother is Vietnamese. His father is CEO of a healthcare staffing company. His mother, Hanh, is a financial advisor.
Juzang will be a high school sophomore in the upcoming 2017-18 season. He plays for Harvard-Westlake Highschool in Studio City, CA. The highschool is located north of Los Angeles near Hollywood in the neighborhood where millionaire Hollywood stars live. Jackie Chan owns a house not too far from the high school.
In his freshman season, Johnny played in 33 games and averaged 16.2 points, 2.0 assists and 7.5 rebounds. He shot 43% FG and 37% from three point range. Not bad numbers for a freshman. Johnny graduates from highschool in 2020 and could be a one-and-done college player.
Johnny’s older brother, Christian Juzang, is following the footsteps of Jeremy Lin. Currently, Christian is playing ball at Harvard. Christian just recently finished his freshman season at Harvard.
His father is CREOLE. Which is a mix of European (mainly Spanish/French) and West Indies.
I came to this site because I wanted to know why articles say his mother is Vietnamese, but not one article mentioned his father’s ethnicity or racial background. I find that very interesting. Why? Is it because he is half Black? What is so terribly wrong with that?
To be more specific, Johnny Juzang is half Vietnamese and half Creole.
So you want to make mention his part black- tell ALL black people that Jesus Christ is a Middle Easterner and there ain’t anything black about him. Maybe blacks (and whites) should find their own “american” Lord and Saviour.
Writer of the article doesn’t mention race of the father, that’s the whole point of the story. Go back to school and write a better article. Straight amateur!!!
This dude is half black. Let’s be honest. THAT’S why he is a hell of a ball player.
