Allan Park Laviolette had a monster season: 58 Assists 25 Goals, named to UFA First Team. Other honorable mentions: Tyler Chan, Jasper Tom, Jimmy Zuraw, Bryan Nguyen, Tommy Li, Akifumi Muraoka, Ridge Huang, Chris Lung, Nathan Hsieh

Allan Park Laviolette had another big season for the Carolina Flyers with 58 Assists and 25 Goals in 15 games (including playoffs).  He is one of the biggest huckers in the league as his yards per/attempt is one of the league leaders.   Laviolette threw for 4376 in 425 completions with a respectable 93.6% completion rate.  He led the Flyers to the UFA Championship game.

Tyler Chan in his 2nd season with the Boston Glory took on a bigger offensive role.  He led the Glory to their first ever post-season appearance.  Chan finished the season 16 Assists and 13 goals.  He was on the receiving end of many long throws.

Jasper Tom played primarily as a defensive specialist and helped lead DC Breeze to the Championship series with 8 blocks, 12 assists and 6 goals on the season.

Jimmy Zuraw for the majority of the season was leading the league in assists.   He finished with 43 assists and 11 goals for the Houston Havoc.

Speedy receiver/cutter Bryan Nguyen made a comeback with the LA Aviators.  In 7 games, he caught 17 goals and threw for 6 assists.

The popular Tommy Li returned to the Seattle Cascades to help the underdogs reach the Championship series.  He was a mainstay on the o-line and scored 15 goals with 21 assists in 11 games.

Japanese national team member, Akifumi Muraoka had another big season for the Toronto Rush with 21 assists and 8 goals in 7 games.  Muraoka played for Japan in the World Frisbee Championships in September.

 

Rookies to watch in Future:

Youngster Ridge Huang started late in the season for the Oakland Spiders and made an immediate impact.  Huang started on the o-line and in 4 games, threw 10 assists and 6 goals.   His teammate Chris Lung was solid again with 24 assists and 10 goals in 9 games.

Muraoka’s teammate Nathan Hsieh came out of nowhere late in the season for Toronto and proceeded to put up solid numbers, 15 goals 10 assists in 7 games.
