The Austin Sol are proud to announce their new head coach for 2017, Edith Teng. Edith brings a wealth of experience as a player, leader and coach. She started her career at Rice University, playing for four years in college before joining the elite Texas club program, Showdown, in 2012, which she has played ever since. In 2013 Edith began coaching, leading her former college team, Torque, to a DIII National Championship in 2014. Now living in Austin, she has been the coach of the University of Texas’ women’s team, Melee, since 2015.
The Austin Sol are very thankful for the hard work of 2016 coaches Michael Natenberg (Tank) and Terry Jungman. Tank will be working with Edith on the transition before taking a step back to spend more time with family. The team looks forward to a bright future in 2017, Go Sol!
