Rudi Ying ~ Future Hope of China’s Ice Hockey?

After representing China in IIHF World U18 Championship Division II for 3 consecutive years (2014 ~ 16), Rudi Ying signed a 2-year contract as a professional hockey player with HC Kunlun Red Star in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). KHL is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008, comprising of 29 member clubs based in Belarus, China, Croatia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, and Slovakia, and is widely considered to be the premier professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia, and second in the world behind the NHL.
Rudi Ying was one of the 4 Chinese players on the 27-player roster of HC Kunlun Red Star, the only China based team in KHL.
