Wu Guanxi will play for NBA Houston Rockets in Summer League

So it turns out there will be a second Chinese player other than He Tianju will be playing in the Summer League.

Ex Beijing Aoshen Olympians and current player of Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks Wu Guanxi 吴冠希 had received invitation from Houston Rockets to play in the Summer League.

The 22-year-old 2.10M/6ft 10.5 center had left China yesterday. He will first join his Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks team mates Wang Tong and Zhai Yi in Atlanta, Georgia for a 20-day tailor-made training clinic at The Skill Factory before reporting to Houston Rockets for the Summer League to be held in Las Vegas in early July.

NOT SURE WHY Houston Rockets had picked Wu Guanxi, who played sparingly for the Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks for the past 2 years; he only averaged 5.4 ppg/3.9 rpg/0.6 bpg/11.7 mpg last season.

It must be through the guanxi aka relationship of Yao Ming !!! I’d rather Wang Tong be given the chance !!!
