Rose, unlike O’Neal, will not be playing himself. The current ESPN NBA analyst will play a character from Louis’ past. Smoove reprises his character as Louis’ plotting-and-scheming friend, Barry, who first met the Huangs on-screen in the same episode that featured DMX.
In an earlier episode in Season 2, Jeremy Lin made a cameo appearance.
