Former Orioles left-hander Wei-Yin Chen came out of his semi-regular Twitter hibernation to bid a fond farewell to the Orioles on Monday morning.Chen finalized a five-year, $80 million deal with the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, ending a four-year run with the club that brought him over from Japan in 2012. He went 27-14 with a 3.44 ERA in 62 starts over the past two seasons in Baltimore.
This is also as good a place as any to say goodbye to Chen’s trusted interpreters, Tim Lin and Louis Chao: I sure am going to miss reading your Mandarin Chinese-to-English translations of pitching jargon.
