Sports Illustrated model Jessica Gomes makes film debut in Hollywood blockbuster Transformers 4
|JESSICA Gomes has landed her first big acting break with a role in the Hollywood blockbuster Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The David Jones ambassador filmed a scene in the fourth instalment of the big-budget series and this week will find out if it made the final edit.
The 28-year-old is understood to be attending the film’s US launch in Los Angeles next week after its world premiere in Hong Kong on Thursday featured stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz.
“I had such an amazing time working on Transformers,” Gomes told The Saturday Telegraphyesterday. “The opportunity to work with talents such as Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci was a dream come true and an experience I am very grateful for and of course Michael Bay is an extremely clever director.”
The news follows Gomes’ recent appearance in a comedy web series with the Korean-American actor Steven Yeun, developed by the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment to support diversity in Hollywood. She has been open about her desire to act,moving to LA to audition and study drama.
The appearance at the film’s premiere will coincide with the star’s latest shoot for Sports Illustrated magazine’s 2015 Swimsuit Edition.
With next year set to be her eighth appearance in the annual publication, Gomes will beat Anne Vyalitsyna’s record of the most consecutive appearances.
