Jackson State expects to hire NCAA record holder Timmy Chang as offensive coordinator
|Jackson State is expected to name Timmy Chang as its next offensive coordinator, multiple sources told The Clarion-Ledger.
The university said there is no official word on Chang, who was a prolific college quarterback while at Hawaii (2000-2004) and took the Warriors to three Hawaii Bowls.
Footballscoop.com tweeted the news on Thursday, and Chang has been reported on campus.
Chang would come from Southern Methodist University, where he served as the offensive graduate assistant.
He currently owns the NCAA record for total plays and passing attempts. He is second all-time in both total career offensive yards and passing yards.
Upon graduating from Hawaii, Chang joined the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent.
