Minnesota Wild: Matt Dumba promoted to Houston Aeros

CALGARY — The Minnesota Wild assigned 2012 first-round draft pick Matt Dumba to their American Hockey League team, the Houston Aeros, on Monday, April 15.

Dumba had been playing for the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. There, the 18-year-old recorded 42 points on 16 goals and 26 assists, including six power-play goals.

Dumba was the No. 7 pick in the 2012 NHL draft. He is 6 feet and 182 pounds.
