Former Portugal-League player striker Le Cong Vinh set for return to Song Lam Nghe An in VietNam

HA NOI (VNS)– Striker Le Cong Vinh will return to his former club Song Lam Nghe An on a one-year loan contract.

His new club paid Ha Noi FC VND500 million (US$24,000) to secure the signing of the three-time Golden Ball winner, who will receive a salary of VND30 million per month.

Vinh was previously the highest-paid player in the V-League and received VND15 billion over the three years he played in the Ha Noi jersey.

His new contract could be extended based on performances next season, according to Nguyen Hong Thanh, general director of Song Lam Nghe An Football Joint Stock Company.

After signing his new contract, Vinh declared himself delighted with the move. “I am happy with this decision. In Nghe An, people love me and I want to contribute to my hometown club. I believe that I can play professional football here for several more years,” the 27-year-old said.
