New England Revolution announce 2012 season awards – Lee Nguyen named Team MVP

Not surprisingly, Lee Nguyen was voted the 2012 New England Revolution Team MVP for his technical and creative attacking work in the midfield. Nguyen, 26, scored the second-most goals (5) for the team, added two assists and appeared in all 30 games until his season ending surgery on his right shoulder in September. Nguyen earned MLS Player of the Week honors in May for a two goal, one-assist performance against Vancouver Whitecaps, the club which waived him one week before the season started after signing him in December.
