2012 London Olympics – Hammer Throw: Koji Murofushi nails down bronze
|LONDON–In what will likely be his last Olympics, Koji Murofushi came out with another medal. The fact that it was bronze does not detract from its luster.
Murofushi finished third in the men’s hammer at the London Olympics on Sunday night, adding the bronze medal to the gold he won eight years ago in Athens.
“In Athens, I was young and I had the power to win a gold medal,” the 37-year-old Murofushi said. “This time, I knew it would be difficult considering my age. So [the meaning of the medals] is different.”
