Olympics Badminton: China playing mind games for sweep of men’s singles medals

Badminton powerhouse China are heightening the mind games in a bid to complete a historic 1-2-3 finish in the men’s singles at the London Olympics.

But whatever their game plan, national coach Tey Seu Bock said China’s top three players – Lin Dan, Chen Long and Chen Jin – would still feel the heat and Chen Jin could spoil China’s quest for a perfect sweep.

No country has won all three medals in one event.

The three Chinese maestros are heavy favourites with their main rival, world No. 2 Lee Chong Wei, scrambling to be physically fit and mentally strong ahead of the competition at Wembley Arena from July 28-Aug 5.
