Forget overrated NBA girls, Asian cheerleaders take sports world by storm

A decade ago, whenever we think about cheerleaders, the only ones that come to mind are the NBA or NFL girls. But in recent years, Asian cheerleaders are becoming a usual sight at basketball and baseball games in Japan, China and South Korea.

STOMPer PomPomBoy, who sent in these pictures, said:

“Personally, I think the American cheerleaders are overrated. With their more exotic looks, and perhaps helped by the fact that they are less exposed, their Asian counterparts are a refreshing sight for the crowd.  Asian sports have criticised for using sex appeal to entice the crowd, but I think the main attraction for fans is still the sport itself, be it basketball, football or baseball.  But the Asian cheerleaders are definitely a welcome sight during the half-time break.”
