Sports Illustrated Jessica Gomes to make the leap from photo shoot to film set

Just when we thought Linsanity was over, it reaches into modeling. Jessica Gomes said recently on her Twitter, “Jeremy Lin #asianpower represent!”

SHE’S made her name as a swimsuit model, now Jessica Gomes is looking to make the leap from photo shoot to film set. After six years living in New York, the 27-year-old stunner recently moved to Los Angeles, where she’s been meeting with film executives and agents.

She’s hoping to emulate the success of fellow Sports Illustrated models Brooklyn Decker, who made her big-screen debut alongside Jennifer Aniston in Just Go With It, Kate Upton in Tower Heist and Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Transformers.

“I’m really lucky that I’ve had my foot in the door with Sports Illustrated,” said Gomes, who has appeared in the magazine’s past five swimsuit issues. “A lot of the SI girls are going into movies so it depends what they are looking for and if there is a role for me.”

Gomes, 27, still spends a lot of her time travelling the world modelling and promoting various endorsements. When at home in LA, she keeps busy by studying acting.
