Dat Nguyen says ‘no chance’ he’ll be back coaching at Texas A&M
|Texas A&M tackling legend Dat Nguyen said Thursday that there is “no chance” he’ll be a part of A&M’s new staff, and already has cleaned out his locker in the Bright building.
Nguyen is the school’s all-time tackle leader and the 1998 Lombardi Award winner who spent the better part of last decade with the Dallas Cowboys, both as a player and assistant. Nguyen has spent the past two seasons as A&M’s inside linebackers coach under Mike Sherman, who was fired on Dec. 1.

I HATE TO SEE HIM GO BUT AGS SEEM TO BE A LITTLE TUNNEL VISION FOR A WHILE. I, LIKE A LOT OF OTHERS, WOULD LIKE TO SEE ANOTHER JA’MAR TOOMBS RETURN TO THE LINE UP. FIND ONE THAT BIG, THAT FAST AND HAS A LOT OF HEART + MOST IMPORTANT, SOMEONE WHO CAN PUSH AWAY FROM THE TABLE. DON’T NEED A “FRIDGE PERRY” MORE LIKE A JIM BROWN..DON’T SEE IT HAPPENING. MAYBE DAT WILL GO BACK TO ROCKPORT AND COACH. CRAZIER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED..
