Tyler Sugiyama is on the USC Trojans basketball roster

Former walk-on Tyler Sugiyama is on this year’s 2011-2012 USC Trojans basketball roster. Sugiyama played a total of 5 minutes over 3 games last year. He will be redshirted this year as a sophomore.

Sugiyama played high school basketball at New Trier in Winnetka, Ill. Was ranked among the top 250 players in the nation by Hoopscoop and ranked a top 10 point guard in Illinois by Scout.com. Was named to the 2009 class honorable mention team by the magazine Nothing But Net. Was named a Reebok All-American and was selected to the Cream of the Crop Top 40 at the Pangos All-America Camp in Los Angeles.
