The Denver Broncos blocked a potential game-tying field attempt with five seconds remaining to survive a late rally by the  Los Angeles Chargers for a 24-21 win on Monday Night Football at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Broncos backup defensive tackle Shelby Harris blocked a 44-year field goal attempt by Chargers rookie kicker YoungHoe Koo with five seconds remaining in the game to preserve the first win for Denver coach Vance Joseph. Harris’s block occurred after Koo had made his first attempt, but Joseph called a timeout before the kick.  The Chargers’ rookie offensive lineman allowed the Denver defender to get past him to block the field goal attempt.
