Earlier this year, Travelers Today reported that the most famous NBA player in Asia admitted that he isn’t dating anyone. During the All-Access event at the Staples Center, the laid back former Los Angeles Lakers player said he’s not dating and the only woman in his life is his ever-supportive mother, who often falls victim to his pranks.
“I don’t have a girlfriend who can buy me a car for Christmas,” Lin said during the All-Access event when his former teammate Nick Young bragged about his expensive Chevrolet Impala given to him by his multimillion rapper girlfriend Iggy Azalea (all possible Chevrolet Impala lifting options included, of course).
In recent years, Jeremy Lin and his girlfriend — or lack thereof — have become one of the most trending headlines. Since many have become curious about his love life, several dating rumors have circulated and one of which was the alleged engagement ring shopping in January 2014. However, the report was vague and didn’t provide the identity of Lin’s alleged ladylove. Eventually, the speculation was slammed as another hoax.
Even though Jeremy Lin has no girlfriend as of the moment, it didn’t mean that he’s a no-girlfriend-since-birth type of man. In fact, Lin’s Harvard pal Alek Blankenau told GQ Magazine three years ago that the NBA superstar had a devout girlfriend in college. And when his V-Day surprise failed, the ever-sweet Jeremy Lin made efforts to cook.
“Jeremy forgot to make reservations on Valentine’s Day once, and had to save the day with some homemade chicken parm,” Blankenau revealed.
As Jeremy Lin’s girlfriend news is making some buzz again, Kim Kardashian’s name has been dragged into the issue. According to International Business Times, Lin rejected the idea to date Kim Kardashian, who was reportedly interested in him in 2012. Kardashian’s spokeswoman Jill Fritzo, however, was quick to dismiss the issue and told a local newspaper that the dating rumor was entirely false and said that someone made the story up.
