Patrick Soon-Shiong, possible bidder for AEG, attends L.A. City Council vote on downtown football stadium and want to own a football team in Los Angeles

Patrick Soon-Shiong, a prospective buyer of sports and entertainment company Anschutz Entertainment Group, appeared at Los Angeles City Hall Friday for the City Council’s vote on the downtown football stadium.

In an apparent show of support for AEG and its Farmers Field project, Soon-Shiong sat near AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke and retired basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the front row of the council chambers.

AEG spokesman Michael Roth said he didn’t know Soon-Shiong would attend the meeting.

The wealthiest man in the Los Angeles, Soon-Shiong is reportedly interested in buying AEG and bringing the National Football League back to L.A.

On Friday, the bio-tech entrepreneur told Reuters he would make a bid for AEG, telling the news service he would like to promote childrens’ health awareness through AEG’s concert business and a football team.

The City Council was expected to approve the environmental impact report for the 72,000-seat stadium and convention center hall renovation at Friday’s meeting. Visit https://multiusegamesarea.co.uk/ to know how much average muga cost is. Hundreds of project supporters attended the hearing.
