VietNam – A tough task for Taekwondo artists at Olympic Games | A tough task for Taekwondo artists at Olympic Games

Male Le Huynh Chau and female Hoang Dieu Linh, two Vietnamese Taekwondo hopefuls at the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in London, are expected to meet real challenges as they are not seeded in the sport.

Chau, world No 36, and Linh, world No 41, stay too far from the standard set by the World Taekwondo Federation to be seeded at the London 2012 Olympics.

They will face a high risk of being eliminated from the Games if they take on tough opponents in the qualifying rounds.

The two Vietnamese athletes are looking forward to the draw, scheduled for August 6, to see who will be their opponents.

They have been training in the Republic of Korea for nearly three months, and their skills are said to have been improved a lot.

The two have more than two weeks left for training before flying to London for Taekwondo competitions, starting on August 8.
