Dallas Mavericks Assign Yi Jianlian to Texas Legends

The Dallas Mavericks today assigned Yi Jianlian and Sean Williams to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks’ NBA D-League affiliate. The assignments mark the 19th and 20th time an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season. The assignment is the first for Yi, who was signed by Dallas earlier today, and the second for Williams this season.

In Yi’s first game with the Texans, he scored 17 points on 6/19 shooting with 11 rebounds, 3 blocks in today’s game against Austin Toros. Yi had an impressive spin-move and dunk at the 9:45 minute mark of the 2nd period.
